Abstract

Prostate adenoma (benign prostatic hyperplasia) is one of the most common urological diseases in men over 50 years of age. This article discusses current approaches to the treatment of BPH, including drug therapy, minimally invasive techniques, and surgical interventions. A comparative analysis of the efficacy and safety of various techniques was carried out based on the data of 1,200 patients treated in urological clinics in Uzbekistan in the period from 2019 to 2024. Minimally invasive methods provide a significant improvement in urodynamic indicators in moderate hyperplasia and have a low complication rate. Surgical treatment, especially laser enucleation and robot-assisted surgery, is most effective for large prostate volumes, providing maximum improvement in urinary performance. The choice of treatment method should be based on the stage of the disease, the size of the prostate gland and the individual characteristics of the patient. Current trends are aimed at minimizing the invasiveness of interventions while maintaining high efficiency and safety, which improves the quality of life of patients and reduces the risk of complications.
