Abstract

In this scientific work, data were analyzed on the effect of the cardioprotector trimetazidine on the clinical course of myocardial infarction of complicated chronic heart failure (CHF) in young patients. The study included 63 patients (36 men, 27 women) with myocardial infarction with CHF according to NYHA I–III FC, aged 18 to 44 years (average age 36.0±7.8 years). All patients underwent anamnesis collection, anthropometry, general clinical examination with an assessment of the symptoms of CHF on the SHOKS scale, and an assessment of exercise tolerance was carried out using a 6-minute walking test and a bendpnea test. Instrumental studies such as ECG, Holter ECG, EchoCG, UTT were also performed using a standard technique. All patients, depending on the treatment methods, were divided into 2 groups. The first group included 34 patients [men – 22 (64,7%), women – 12 (35.3%)] who, along with basic therapy, received the drug trimetazidine (preduktal OD, Gedeon Richter, Hungary) at a dose of 80 mg 1 time per day for 3 months. The second group (control group) included 29 patients [men – 14 (48%), women - 15 (52%)] who received standard therapy (beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, calcium antagonists, nitrates, diuretics, etc.). Trimetazidine is a high-class cardioprotector, which, against the background of long-term use (from 3 to 6 months), improves the metabolism of the heart muscle and is indicated for all patients with coronary heart disease who have suffered a myocardial infarction in the early stages of CHF development.
