The qualities of realia and its appropriate expression are discussed in this article. The meaning of the realia in the short story "The Moon in the Water" by Japanese Nobel winner Kawabata Yasunari was also examined. It is described how the realia plays a part in disclosing a person's mental state and experiences as well as how it relates to their life, worldview, and society. It has been established that the Eastern style is used to describe the national color of the characters, the topic, and the events of the story. The concept sphere of the story was generated by realia-related factors.
