ABOUT THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF THE GENRE OF LITERARY PORTRAIT

In one of the genres of literary criticism, great emphasis is placed on creating a holistic image of the artist in a literary portrait. A literary portrait is a product of the critical and biographical method of literary criticism, as well as a widespread genre of scientific and biographical research identified by
this method. An important role in this is played by the scale of the attitude to the author's creative lifestyle. With some of the above methods, this volume is revealed in the circumstances of extremely narrow biographical analytical elements; while in some the scale is slightly wider, but the thread of
biographical data predominates; and also, in others, the analyzes are presented on a wider scale in harmony with the creative person, environment and time. It is difficult to understand and analyze the origins of some literary, as well as literary-critical genres, because their roots go back to ancient times
in human history. The emergence of the genre, however, refers to later periods, which, of course, complicates the study of their formation and development, encourages researchers to return to the distant past, to use a wide range of historical and literary sources. Literary portrait, one of the genres of literary criticism, but its theoretical aspects have been little studied by literary criticism. In literary criticism, there are various forms of literary portrait, but they have not received a scientific description and classification. For example: literary portrait, memory portrait, small portrait, portrait article, etc. These forms of portrait demonstrate the need for scientific research on issues such as their differences, advantages and disadvantages
