The article analyzes the structural and semantic features of the occasional transformations of the exaggerated phraseological units, as a result of which changes occur in the semantic-expressive aspects of phraseological units. In order to study the problem, the research of a number of scientists who have conducted research in this field on occasional changes is highlighted. The results, in turn, provide a comparative study of English and Uzbek languages, highlighting typological similarities and differences.
