SAIDAHMAD VASLIY SAMARQANDIY ENLIGHTENER AND A SCHOLAR OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

In this article, Saidahmad Vasliy is shown as a progressive political editor, educated by an Islamic scholar, a patriot of the nation, an educated enthusiast who tried to regulate education with his proposals and ideas and is a supporter of oriental culture.

Vasli Samarqandiy did not agree that Russian was used as the state language, he fought to raise the status of the local folk language, the Turkic language, and considered the language as a factor determining the identity of the nation. The personality of Vasliy is also embodied in his works, as a national and religious-enlightening spirit, which lasted from ancient times. It is seen as a bridge between the past and the new century; in his works it sometimes appears as a realistic image, including deep lyricism, romantic feelings, sometimes a tone of exhortation, sometimes bitter criticism. In the article, the poet expresses ideas of progress, a call for reform through criticism of the times, a demonstration of the glory of science, and sometimes journalistic debate.
