ANALYSIS OF THE MORPHOLOGICAL-STRUCTURAL MODELS OF WINDOWS TERMINOLOGY IN TURKISH

This paper addresses the challenges of lexicographically describing Microsoft Windows operating system terminology and outlines actionable tasks to resolve them. Core challenges include:
(i) version drift and localization‑induced variation (synonymy, orthographic/formatting differences),
(ii) polysemy and cross‑domain sense shifts (e.g., profile, driver), (iii) consistent representation of multiword terms and compounds within dictionary microstructure, (iv) normalization of borrowings and brand names (Wi‑Fi, BitLocker), and (v) UI‑bound context: definitions must encode function, location (UI path), and operational affordances.
