THE APPEARANCE OF TURKISMS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN XV-XX CENTURIES

The vocabulary of the language is constantly updated and enriched, dynamically changing, caused by internal and external factors. The external factor is the process of borrowing a word for certain reasons. If the word "self-assimilation" initially has the property of a new word, over time it faces assimilation in the receiving language, and more and gradually it loses its foreignism. The article analyzes the the appearance of Turkic borrowed words in the English language, the assimilation of Turkic words in the English lexicon and their preservation to this day.
