THE IMPORTANCE OF THE USE OF IRONY IN ORAL, SITUATIONAL AND DRAMATIC FORMS

The article defines the functions of irony in the text, the lexico-pragmatic aspects of changing the context-ironic meaning of the word. It has been studied that irony is an important conceptual category of a literary text, which allows the author to express an emotional and evaluative attitude to the presented reality.
Most definitions of irony are similar to the idea that irony involves a contradiction between appearance and reality. In other words, the difference between what should be true and what is real. Irony is one of the many literary techniques that the writer can use in his work for various reasons, be it humorous or curious situations. This literary tool is also useful for attention and understanding. The only thing is that each nation differs in terms of expression in its own way.
