COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH AS AN INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE OF COMMUNICATION (As an Example of Singapore English)

This article discusses the origins of the English language, its international status, and a comparative analysis of the conversations of speakers of this language. In particular, we are talking about the characteristics of speakers in Singapore. The article provides a brief overview of the use and development of English around the world and the diversity of English through a comparison between Singaporean and literary English species, which are part of an expanding circle of English for the current, globalized era (Kachru 1988:5), explained. Singapore and literary English, which are spoken by users in Southeast Asia and the Pacific, have been shown to use a mixture. The analysis is illustrated with examples from English and Singapore. It is clear from the identified differences that when speaking English in Singapore, lexical specificity should not be overlooked either. In fact, this situation can be observed in other regions as well, but it is considered in the context of the topic. The occurrence of communication in a foreign language by other peoples is natural because language is a social phenomenon.
