COGNITIVE MECHANISMS OF METAPHORICAL MEANING FORMATION

Abstract

Among all spheres, science is increasingly demanding its rise to a new level. It is already a problem to solve the pressing issues facing society without science. Therefore, comprehensive support for such issues is systematically becoming one of the priority tasks of our state. It is difficult to imagine the development of our country and society at the level of modern requirements without science. Fundamental research plays an important role in the development of science. It is through them that new knowledge will be mastered and theories will be formed, a solid foundation will be laid for future practical studies and innovative developments. The essence of the article is to study the peculiarities of poetic metaphor and its role in the formation of modern poetic landscape, to consider the semantic and stylistic features of metaphor in Uzbek poetry of the 20th century, to identify cognitive metaphoric models of meaning formation in poetic texts. Considering that a number of aspects of the nature of metaphors remain unexplored in the development of linguistic theories, attention is paid to this topic. Because as a result of the interest in the essence of the spoken metaphor, the poetic metaphor was left out of place and was not properly illuminated in linguistics from the point of view of modern trends. The article also draws attention to the linguophilosophical works of ancient and medieval thinkers and the main trends in the development of metaphorical theories in modern linguistic works, to determine the position of metaphors in the system of figurative means of language. As a material for the article, Rauf Parfi (Uzturk) received poems from the collections of his creative heritage: “Spirit of Turkestan” (Selection), "Sakina", "Repentance", "Return", "The Tree оf Patience". The practical value of the work is determined by the results obtained in the training courses on Stylistics, poetic text interpretation, as well as the possibility of using the Uzbek language in teaching practice.
