UNLOCKING THE POWER OF IDIOMS: HOW FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE ENRICHES COMMUNICATION

The relevance of this article is determined by the need to study phraseological units in English and Uzbek stories and enriching their speech with stable phrases. Idioms may not possess literal wings, but their figurative power elevates language, rendering communication more engaging and dynamic. As ESL Expat notes, idioms are "commonly used phrases in the language to convey some genuine ideas," adding depth and authenticity to expression. The purpose of the article is to describe English phraseological units with the main characters’ personalities of the stories in English and Uzbek.
