So'nggi o'n yillikda "faol uzoq umr ko'rish" tushunchasi faol targ'ib qilinmoqda, bu vaqtda ayollar salomatligining yosh jihatlari alohida o'rin tutadi. Ayollar hayotining perimenopozal davri estrogen yetishmovchiligining oqibatlari bilan bog'liq bo'lib, bu o'z navbatida fiziologik o'zgarishlar va boshqa tizimlarning kasalliklariga olib keladi. Menopauzal gormonal terapiya immunitet tizimini himoya qilish va qon ivish tizimining fon holatini yaxshilaydi, qon tomir devorini himoya qilish uchun qo'shimcha mexanizmlarni oshiradi. Biroq, davom etayotgan COVID-19 kasalligi vaqtidada menopauzal gormonal terapiyasini tayinlash, birinchi navbatda ularning samaradorligi va xavfsizligi darajasi bo'yicha ko'plab ochiq savollar tug'iladi. Bu savollarga javoblar ilmiy dalillar bazasi yetarli emasligi sababli noaniq va dolzarbligicha qolmoqda.
