Abstract

Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy are one of the main causes of maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity in Uzbekistan and around the world, regardless of the level of development and medical care. Aim: to study the prevalence of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, as well as the impact on the pregnant woman, fetus and newborns. Study materials and methods: a prospective cohort study was conducted in 50 pregnant women aged ≥27 gestational age, aged 18-44, with hypertensive disorders and gestational complications. Mean ± standard deviation or proportions, relative risk ratios (OR), 95% confidence interval (95% CI) were used for statistical analysis. Conclusions: preeclampsia and eclampsia are associated with an increased risk of adverse perinatal complications compared to gestational hypertension and chronic hypertension, and require timely screening, continuous antenatal care, and timely intervention and referral when critical obstetric situations occur.
