Переломы тазового кольца часто встречаются при высокоэнергетической тупой травме, особенно при дорожно-транспортных происшествиях. Эти виды травм характеризуются высокой заболеваемостью и смертностью из-за частой нестабильности переломов и связанных с ними внутритазовых сосудистых и висцеральных осложнений. Компьютерная томография (КТ) является золотым стандартом в оценке травм таза, поскольку она позволяет быстро и точно выявить переломы тазового кольца, активное внутритазовое кровотечение и повреждения других систем организма.
