HELICOBACTER PYLORI INFECTION PREVALENCE AMONG THE POPULATION OF UZBEKISTAN IN 2025

Abstract

The article presents data on the prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection in the cities of Tashkent and Nukus in 2025. The study was conducted at the outpatient clinics of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Therapy and Medical Rehabilitation in Tashkent and the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center of the Republic of Karakalpakstan in Nukus. The study involved individuals who visited the outpatient clinics for routine health check-ups and had no complaints related to digestive organs. The results of the study showed that among the examined individuals, a positive test for Helicobacter pylori infection was detected in 71.5% of cases in Tashkent and 75% in Nukus. Regarding gender distribution, H. pylori infection was found in 64% of men and 36% of women. In 65% of cases, the presence of infection was observed in individuals aged 18 to 30 years.
