FEATURES OF HEART DAMAGE IN ANKYLOSING SPONDYLOARTHRITIS

The article presents an analysis of heart damage in patients with ankylosing spondylitis. Information is given on the occurrence of heart lesions, atherosclerotic changes in blood vessels, changes in the valvular apparatus of the heart, cardiac remodeling, and disorders of cardiac activity and conduction. These changes were directly related to systemic inflammation, with an increase in the number of risk factors (dyslipidemia, smoking, metabolic syndrome, etc.) and acute phase test parameters.
