POMEGRANATE SEED OIL FOR ULCERATIVE COLITIS

Pomegranate seed oil consists of a complex set of fatty acids, approximately 80% of which are 18-carbon molecules with three alternating double bonds. In animal experiments, pomegranate seed oil has antioxidant, antitumor, and anti-inflammatory activity. The aim of our study is to increase the effectiveness of the treatment of ulcerative colitis, made in the form of rectal suppositories made from pomegranate seed oil.
