The article studies the activities, changes, renewal, transformation of social institutions in society, which is relevant for any time and place in which the significance of each social institution at the level of public consciousness is studied and explored. At the same time, any changes and updates are, first of all, the result of changes in human thinking, consciousness, ideological criteria, in this regard, the feasibility of studying and implementing modern technologies and methods for increasing the activity of social institutions is scientifically substantiated. Also, for the purpose of a systematic study of the social foundations, trends in the development, renewal and transformation of social institutions in our country, the period 1989-2022 is conditionally divided into 4 stages, the criteria for this division are highlighted.
