AESTHETICS AS EPISTEMOLOGY OF THE ART OF THE EASTERN RENAISSANCE

In the medieval East, the connection between forms of social consciousness, including religion and art, was very complex and ambiguous. Religion, as a dominant ideological phenomenon, not only played the role of a social customer in art, but also served as the official supplier of forms and ideas of artistic creativity. In this complex labyrinth of spiritual production, art gradually accumulated strength and opportunities for the spontaneous release of the specific features of a new aesthetic knowledge of the world. The relationship between art and religion proceeded correctly and delicately. Art stood between religion and science, as if trying on and calming the fiercely fighting sides. Connected with the emotional and spiritual world of man, art stood closer to religion, but its social status in society was latently in harmony with science, ultimately merging in the affirmation of human freedom in the real world.
