ABOUT THE BIRTH OF NAVA’I

Abstract

This article is part of a series of studies by A.Rustamov devoted to the life and creativity of Ali-Shir Nava’i. A.Rustamov (born in 1931) is a Turkologist, linguist, interpreter. Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (1995). Doctor of Philological Sciences (1968). Academician A.Rustamov in 1959 defended his candidate's dissertation on "Some grammatical features of the language of Ali-Shir Nava’i in "Mahbub al-Qulub" and in 1968 defended his doctoral dissertation on: "Phoneticcal and morphological features of the language of Ali-Shir Nava’i". A.Rustamov's books dedicated to the work of Ali-Shir Nava’i have been published, including "The Literary Mastery of Nava'i" (1979), "The Grammatical Features of the Nava'i's language" (1984), "The Spiritual World of Nava'i" (2014). This article was originally published in the first book of "Studies of Turkology" (Studies of Turkology. The first book. Tashkent. 2009. 26-42 p.). The article proves that the birthday of Ali-Shir Nava’i falls on February 8, 1441. This article by Alibek Rustamov is published in a special issue of the Journal of Central Asian Renaissance dedicated to the 580th anniversary of Ali-Shir Nava'i in the section "Interpretation of Ali-Shir Nava'i’s heritage in the 21st century".
