THE SOCIO-POLITICAL AND CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE JADID MOVEMENT

This article examines the complex influence of the Jadidism movement on the transformation of Central Asian society in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The author analyzes Jadidism not merely as an educational initiative but as a powerful socio-political factor that laid the foundations of national identity. The study explores key areas of the reformers' activities: educational reform (“Usul-i Jadid”), the establishment of the national press and theater, and the development of political programs aimed at modernizing the state structure. Particular attention is paid to the synthesis of Islamic values and the achievements of European civilization as a unique path to overcoming colonial stagnation.
