This paper provides a historical and philosophical exploration of Jadidism — a reformist movement that arose in the late 19th and early 20th centuries among the Muslim populations of the Russian Empire. It delves into the intellectual foundations and socio-cultural conditions that gave rise to Jadidism, emphasizing its role in challenging traditional norms and promoting ideas of enlightenment and social progress. The study analyzes the influence of Jadidist reforms on education and societal structures within Muslim communities, highlighting their contribution to the development of modern identities and progressive thought. Additionally, the article addresses the internal tensions and external obstacles encountered by the Jadids and assesses their long-term impact within the historical evolution of the region.
