SCIENCE AND RELIGION: IS THEIR COMPLETENESS POSSIBLE?

Abstract

Many current researchers regard the relationship between science and religion as forms of social consciousness that do not have common positions, which are in a contradictory state, believing that by their content they are radically incompatible. Their interconnection is considered impossible, since the development of science, technology, globalization processes do not provide grounds for their compatibility. In modern postmodernism, a point of view is expressed that is focused on overcoming their sharp opposition, mutual denial, on the basis of eroding their basic provisions. This is due to the fact that researchers are trying to overcome the crisis of religion and modern science through the establishment of a dialogue between these forms of culture. At the same time, they strive to bring them closer together, complement them, forming a kind of symbiosis. A position is expressed that changes the meaning of religion, the transcendental, and the meaning of objective, true knowledge for science is also changing.
