Chronic polyposis rhinosinusitis (CPRS) is a multifactorial inflammatory disease of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, characterized by the formation of polypous growths and a persistent course. According to epidemiological data, the prevalence of this pathology in the general population ranges from 2% to 4%, with a tendency towards an increase in the incidence rate in economically developed countries, which allows CPRS to be considered as a significant medical and social problem. Despite significant progress in understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms of polyposis rhinosinusitis achieved over the past decades, the treatment of this disease still remains a complex task. This is due to the heterogeneity of CPRS, the presence of various phenotypes and endotypes of the disease requiring a differentiated therapeutic approach. Classical treatment regimens, including the use of topical corticosteroids and surgical interventions, often do not provide long-term control over the disease, which leads to frequent relapses and a decrease in the quality of life of patients.
