IMPROVING THE HEALING OF THE JAW IS A PAIN SYNDROME OF THE LOWER JAW ASSOCIATED WITH A NUMBER OF DENTAL DEFECTS

Among dental diseases, changes in the functioning of the maxillofacial joint occupy a special place due to their wide prevalence, complexity of diagnosis and treatment. In scientific sources of epidemiological studies conducted over the past twenty years, it is noted that the pathology of the lower jaw is observed up to 20% among children and adolescents and up to 80% among the older population. At the same time, the predominance of syndromes of impaired articular activity of the mandible among patients with pathology of impaired functioning of the jaw and observed from 78.3% to 95.3% indicate a high prevalence of pathology. This situation is explained by the fact that the initial stages of pathology proceed without clear signs, it is not possible to obtain sufficient information about the organic changes of the jaw-mandible during clinical and X-ray examinations, as well as the lack of uniform etiopathogenetic views among specialists. This indicates the need to improve the methods of treatment and prevention of this problem.
