Abstract

This article explores the clinical and diagnostic features of oral mucosal candidiasis in the neonatal period and addresses the improvement of comprehensive treatment methods. The diagnosis was based on both clinical signs (a white pseudomembranous coating, hyperemia, and mucosal erosion) and laboratory studies, specifically bacteriological culture to identify Candida spp. The author has developed a comprehensive treatment algorithm based on nystatin, sea buckthorn oil, aloe extract, dexamethasone, and ascorbic acid. The results demonstrated that this approach has high clinical efficacy due to reducing the inflammatory process, suppressing Candida colonization, and accelerating mucosal regeneration.
