Transkranial va burun likyoriyasining kompleks diagnostikasiga zamonaviy yondashuv ko'rib chiqilmoqda.Zamonaviy adabiyotga ko'ra, burun likyoriyasining epidemiologiyasi va rivojlanish sabablari tasvirlangan. Burun likyoriyasining o'rganish tarixi va uni tadqiq qilishning turli usullari qisqacha taqdim etilgan. Adabiyotda tasvirlangan miya omurilik suyuqligini tashxislashning zamonaviy usullarini ko'rib chiqishga alohida e'tibor qaratilmoqda. Ikkala oddiy va keng tarqalgan "ikki nuqta" va "ro'molcha" namunalari, shuningdek yuqori texnologiyali endoskopik vizual diagnostika usullari ko'rib chiqiladi. Burun likyoriyasining tashxislashda multispiral kompyuter tomografiyasi, tsisternografiya, magnit-rezonans tomografiya kabi neyroimaging tekshiruv usullarining roli aniqlandi.
