PRINCIPLES OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF TRAUMATIC INTRACRANIAL HEMORRHAGES IN THE ELDERLY AND SENILE AGE

The principles and results of surgical treatment of 93 elderly and senile age patients with traumatic intracranial hemorrhages were analyzed. The criteria for surgical intervention were studied depending on the level of consciousness of the patient at admission, the volume of the reserve space of the skull and intracranial hemorrhage. The outcomes of the treatment were evaluated according to the Glasgow outcome scale.
