MODERN PATHOGENETIC MECHANISMS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF RESTLESS LEGS SYNDROME
Keywords:
restless legs syndrome, paresthesias, neurotrophins, vitamin D, nerve growth factorAbstract
The article describes restless legs syndrome (RLS), a common nervous system disease characterized by circadian sensorimotor disorders. Despite the active study and use of modern instrumental methods, the pathophysiology of RLS remains poorly understood. This article discusses in detail the mechanisms of the pathogenetic development of the disease. The role of nerve growth factor and vitamin D levels in the development of RLS and their influence on the severity of the disease are shown.
