The Andijan region, with its combination of geographical, demographic, and sociocultural factors that create a distinctive epidemiological environment, represents a unique setting for studying the epidemiological and clinical features of convulsive syndrome. This region, situated in the eastern Fergana Valley at an altitude of 450-500 meters above sea level, covers an area of 4,300 square kilometers. It borders the Fergana and Namangan regions of Uzbekistan, as well as the Osh region of Kyrgyzstan, creating a unique interregional epidemiological corridor for the spread of infectious and non-infectious diseases of the central nervous system.
