ANALYSIS OF CLINICAL COURSE AND OUTCOMES OF ISCHEMIC STROKE IN THE HYPERACUTE PERIOD

Ischemic stroke is an acute cerebrovascular pathology characterized by partial or complete disruption of blood supply to the brain tissue, leading to significant disability and mortality worldwide. Approximately 15 million people suffer from stroke annually. Ischemic strokes account for 80-85% of all stroke cases, while the remainder are hemorrhagic. Recent scientific literature identifies arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, cardiac arrhythmias, and metabolic syndrome as the primary risk factors for the development of ischemic stroke (Smith et al., 2022; Johnson et al., 2023).
