COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL CHANGES IN PATIENTS USING OPIOID DRUGS

Abstract

This article comprehensively studies the neuropsychological changes observed in patients who have taken opioid drugs for a long time. The study analyzed disorders in cognitive functions (memory, attention, thinking and decision-making processes), emotional state (depression, apathy, anhedonia), and personal control mechanisms. At the same time, information was provided about neurobiological changes in the brain under the influence of opioids - imbalance in the dopaminergic and serotonergic systems, functional impairments in the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus. The results obtained showed that opioid addiction requires not only clinical-pharmacological, but also complex - psychotherapeutic and social rehabilitation measures.
