Abstract

Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a complex of interconnected metabolic disorders, including abdominal obesity, insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, and arterial hypertension. In recent decades, there has been a significant increase in the prevalence of metabolic syndrome among young people, which is due to changes in lifestyle, dietary habits, and decreased physical activity. The trend towards the "rejuvenation" of metabolic syndrome is of particular concern, as its manifestations are increasingly being diagnosed in young people (18-35 years old). This presents a serious medical and social problem, as early development of metabolic disorders significantly increases the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and other complications in a younger age.
