Abstract

Facial nerve neuropathy is a pathological condition characterized by lesion of VII pair of cranial nerves and manifested by impaired function of mimic muscles. This pathology occupies a leading position among mononeuropathies, with an incidence of 20-35 cases per 100,000 population per year. The disease can occur in any age period, has no marked gender differences and is characterized by a significant impact on the quality of life of patients, their psychoemotional state and social adaptation.
