Abstract

The article explores the role of tourism, particularly literary tourism, in the cultural life of Uzbekistan. The author examines tourism’s impact on both the spiritual and physical development of individuals, its significance for economic growth, and its potential for promoting the nation’s literary heritage. Using monuments dedicated to Alisher Navoi as examples, the paper highlights the aesthetic and spiritual dimensions of literary tourism. The article also emphasizes the importance of Kokand, Khorezm, and Bukhara literary circles, as well as the tradition of bakhshi epic singers, as rich sources for developing this sector. Proposals are made to integrate literary tourism with eco-tourism and pilgrimage tourism in a holistic approach.
