SOME CRIMINAL-LEGAL, CRIMINOLOGICAL AND INVESTIGATIVE TACTICS ASPECTS OF THE CRIME OF MANUFACTURING AND CIRCULATING COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY, EXCISE STAMPS OR SECURITIES (BASED ON ARTICLE 176 OF THE CRIMINAL CODE OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

This article analyzes the role and importance of money in the economy, the historical and contemporary manifestations of the crime of counterfeiting money, and the legal foundations for combating this phenomenon. It also examines the economic consequences, criminal-law characteristics, and criminological aspects of crimes involving the manufacture and circulation of counterfeit money, excise stamps, and securities, including the causes and conditions contributing to the commission of such crimes, as well as certain issues related to investigative tactics. Based on the conducted analysis, practical recommendations have been developed, and examples from foreign experience are presented.
