Abstract

ABSTRACT

In this article is described the strategic problems in the translation process of tourism terms are transcription/transliteration, calque, transfer, - descriptive/descriptive translation, functional equivalent, neutralization, zero translation - the results of theoretical and practical research on the omission and addition of a term or term. and the analysis of errors in the translation process. Evaluation of the quality of translation of touristic terms is also a separate scientific study, and we must emphasize that the issue of quality evaluation is very uncertain. In the process of analysis, it was tried to prove that many things depend on the type of text, genre, source text and conventions of the target language, taking into account that there are no universally accepted criteria for evaluating the quality of translation. Combining with the functional approach in translation with three types of errors - wrong translations (Mistranslations); - wrong interpretation (Misintranslations); - zero translations (Zero translations) were covered in detail. Communicative-pragmatic, discursive strategic problems in the translation of tourism terms in English and Uzbek languages are studied and proved with examples.
