Abstract

ABSTRACT

The lexicon of Kipchak dialects of the Uzbek language has a special place in the structure of the universal lexicon of our native language. It is worth saying that although the vocabulary of this dialect consists of a Common-Turkish lexical layer, there are many lexical units in the lexicon of representatives of this dialect that are not used in the literary language. The fact that they are still in circulation is inextricably linked with local conditions. The Kipchak dialect has a great role in the formation of the Uzbek literary language and its development to its current state. In general, the study of the history of the origin and development of dialects, the study of their relationship with other ethnic groups that are genetically part of the Uzbek people in different historical periods, is of great importance in solving a number of historical-linguistic problems.

This article provides a brief comparative analysis of some lexemes of the Kipchak dialect in the “Explanatory Dictionary of the Uzbek Language” and their phonetic, lexical, morphological aspects that distinguish the literary language from other dialectisms.

Key words: Uzbek language, literary language, dialect, Kipchak dialect, dialect words, dialectisms, dictionaries, Karluk-Chigil-Uyghur, Oghuz, case, possessive case.
