METHODS OF COGNITIVE-DISCOURSE ANALYSIS
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The article discusses discourse analysis in terms of the views of Russian and Western scholars and the methods of cognitive analysis of discourse. Cognitive analysis of discourse includes textual and contextual aspects. In contrast, discourse contextual analysis involves the consideration of all extralinguistic factors: time, place, fields of activity, discourse participants, their social roles, the character of their interactions, and the cognitive characteristics of discourse participants.
