THE NEW UZBEK ALPHABET AND ITS IMPROVEMENT

ABSTRACT

The issue of changes to the Uzbek alphabet based on the Latin script, which has caused serious discussions and debates, is about to be resolved. It is up to the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan to approve it for final discussion and implementation. If this project is adopted unanimously, a wide path will be opened to the development of the Uzbek literary language, the improvement of our spelling, the increase of the efficiency of education and literacy, in short, the development of an independent New Uzbekistan, which is fundamentally renewed in all areas.
