Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of various forms of illiteracy on integration processes in the Turkic world. The study focuses on issues of linguistic disunity, functional illiteracy, and the digital divide as key barriers to the creation of a unified educational, economic, and cultural space. Based on L.V. Shcherba's methodological approach, it is demonstrated that modern manifestations of illiteracy are systemic and require the joint efforts of Turkic-speaking states. The paper proposes specific solutions through the creation of common educational standards, digital platforms, and academic mobility programs. Particular attention is paid to overcoming the "alphabet barrier" and developing functional literacy as the basis for successful integration.
