Аннотация

В данной статье автор описывает историко-этнографические аспекты села Ям Зааминского района, входящего в состав Уструшнского государства, одного из крупнейших культурных оазисов Средней Азии, в котором издавна развито хозяйство, земледелие и животноводство, добыча полезных ископаемых, прежде всего железа. Автор также освещает такие вопросы, как этнический состав и история, этимология сельского населения на основе документов фондов Центрального государственного архива республики, полевых этнографических исследований и научной литературы.
