Mamlakat turizmini rivojlantirishda aglomeratsiyalarning o‘rni muhim masala bo‘lib, bugungi globallashgan dunyoda ham dolzarb bo‘lib qolmoqda. Aglomeratsiyalar, masalan, shaharlar yoki shahar klasterlari madaniy, tarixiy va iqtisodiy ahamiyati tufayli ko'pincha turistlarni jalb qiladi. Aglomeratsiyalarning turizm rivojlanishiga ta’sirini tushunish keng qamrovli tadqiqot metodologiyasini talab qiladi. Bu sayyohlarning kelishi haqidagi ma’lumotlarni tahlil qilish, aglomeratsiyalarda mavjud infratuzilma va qulayliklarni o‘rganish hamda turizm tashabbuslarini davlat tomonidan qo‘llab-quvvatlash darajasini baholashni o‘z ichiga olishi mumkin. Ushbu sohadagi tadqiqotlar shuni ko'rsatadiki, turli diqqatga sazovor joylar va samarali turizm infratuzilmasiga ega yaxshi rivojlangan aglomeratsiyalar mamlakatning turizm sanoatiga sezilarli hissa qo'shishi, iqtisodiy o'sishni ta'minlaydi va bandlik imkoniyatlarini yaratadi.
