The article examines the development of pilgrimage tourism associated with Muslims performing the rites of Hajj and Umrah, as well as the sphere of modern tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A comparative analysis of trends in the development of pilgrimage and modern types of tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was carried out. The study of the experience of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is relevant for the accelerated development of pilgrimage and modern types of tourism in Uzbekistan.
