Abstract

The article considers implementation of innovations in tourism as an important factor of survival in the growing competition conditions in the tourist market. The essence of innovation is revealed on the basis of theoretical analysis of definitions of this category developed by scientists. The directions of innovative development of the tourism industry are also given. Thus, the directions of innovative development through the introduction of information technologies in the field of tourism are proposed.
