Metabolik buzilishlarning rivojlanishida va uning oldini olishda ichak mikrobiotasining roli hozirgi kunda tobora ortib bormoqda. Ichak mikrobiotasi va organizm o‘rtasidagi simbiotik munosabatlar odamlarda metabolik tizimning to’g’ri rivojlanishini ta’minlaydi. Shu bilan birga, tarkibidagi buzilishlar va o’z navbatida, ichak mikrobiotasining funksionalligi ichak baryeri vazifasini buzishi mumkin va undan so’ng metabolik endotoksemiya uchun o‘tish kaliti bo‘lib xizmat qiladi. Ichak baryerining noto’g’ri ishlashi orqali qon aylanishiga bakterial bo‘laklarning kirib borishi natijasida yuzaga kelgan surunkali yallig‘lanish organizmga yo‘g‘ to‘planishi va insulinrezistentlik rivojlanishiga sezilarli ta’sir ko‘rsatadi. So’nggi ma’lumotlar shuni ko‘rsatadiki, ba‘zi bakteriyalar ichak gormonlari va boshqa tizimlarni metaboliti vositachiligida oshqozon-ichak traktidan tashqari endokannabinoid tizimga ta’sir qiladi. Ba’zi bakteriya turlarining sonining pasayishi boshlanganda simbioz holatining buzilishi olib keladi va bu esa xo‘jayin organizmining metabolik salomatligining yomonlashuviga olib keladi. Ushbu maqolada mikrobiota va xo‘jayin organizmining metabolizmi o‘rtasidagi murakkab o‘q tasvirlangan.
