MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CORONAROCARDIOSCLEROSIS IN THE ELDERLY

In order to study the morphological characteristics of coronarocardiosclerosis in the elderly, microscopic examination of the hearts of 24 deceased persons aged 60-74 years was performed. In the myocardium morphologically, weak hypertrophy of cardiomyocytes and growth of intermediate connective tissue to perivascular areas, focal sclerotic changes are found to be large in volume and quantity.
