Abstract

According to the literature review, the relationship between intraperitoneal pressure and enteral insufficiency syndrome with common pathological processes leading to the formation of a vicious circle of mutually reinforcing changes, regardless of the etiology of intraperitoneal hypertension, is shown and the main measures that should be reduced to the prevention of increased intraperitoneal pressure are presented.Despite the progress achieved, the results of surgical treatment of patients with strangulated abdominal wall hernias cannot be considered satisfactory (2,3). Postoperative complications reach 50% (7.9), mortality rates range from 2-4%, which is due to the high (more than 70%) incidence of strangulation of intestinal loops with the development of strangulation intestinal obstruction, as well as a significant proportion of elderly and senile patients, which accounts for about 40% (5). The main reasons for unsatisfactory treatment results are inadequate choice of plastic surgery method, significant tension in the tissues of the abdominal wall, a decrease in the volume of the abdominal cavity and the development of abdominal compartment syndrome in 0.8-12% of operated patients
