AGE DYNAMICS OF THE AUTONOMIC INNERVATION OF THE LUNGS

The aim of the study was to evaluate the comparative state of adrenergic and cholinergic lung structures during postnatal development in rabbits. Adrenergic nerve structures were revealed after incubation in a 2% solution of glyoxylic acid according to the method of V.N. Shvalev and N.I. Zhuchkova. To identify cholinergic fibers, frozen sections were processed according to the Karnofsky-Roots method. It has been established that in the process of postnatal ontogenesis there is a complication of the vegetative innervation of the lungs of rabbits.The sympathetic innervation of the bronchi and blood vessels changes especially significantly. There is an increase in the number of adrenergic fibers in the distal direction both in the bronchi and in the vessels, and the complexity of the plexuses in their walls. Cholinergic innervation after birth is characterized by an increase in the number of fiber bundles in the walls of the bronchi.
